Step Outs

Taken from Chapter 4 of
"Hooping"
An Instructional DVD by Peachysteve

Step outs is the partner move to step ins and takes you from inside circles to outside circles within one rotation of the hoop.
Because the step out leads from inside circles it's a little faster than step outs.
This move leads with arm two to leg one.
I'm showing the move from two different angles.

Starting from the back pass of inside circles.
hooping step out
As the space in the hoop comes to leg one,
I start to lift my leg up.

I need to get my leg up and over the hoop by the time my hand gets to the front.
The hoop rolls over the back of my hand and into a palm grip.

Leg one goes down and I'm ready to lift leg two.

I'm moving into outside circles so the hoop starts to swing out and forward
to take on the larger circle size.
Leg two lifts forwards as the space is now in front of me.
I pass the hoop from hand to hand.

The hoop carries to the back and I can put leg two down.

This move is faster than the step out, and as in inside circles, it really helps to turn with the hoop as you do this move.
Here you can see the move while turning from two angles.

As the space in the hoop comes to leg one,
I start to lift my leg up.

I've made a quarter turn to this point.

The hoop carries toward the back and I can put leg two down.
I've turned through a quarter circle and made the move feel a bit easier.
