Drop Through
Taken from Chapter 4 of
"Hooping"
An Instructional DVD by Peachysteve
The drop through is a move which employs the pass behind the back.
In order for this move to work you need a hoop large enough for you to fold yourself through.
I'm hooping on my waist in a clockwise direction. I'm waiting for the space to come to the front. | ![]() | ![]() |
As soon as the space appears I bend at the waist Dropping my body into the space. | ![]() | ![]() |
My hand (hand one)is already curled upward ready for the hoop. The hoop can't press against my body so it starts to slide across my back. | ![]() | ![]() |
The hoop slides into my upturned hand and I take hold. | ![]() | ![]() |
You can see that more clearly here. | ![]() | ![]() |
As soon as you have the hoop in your hand pass it behind your back into your other hand | ![]() | ![]() |
Once you have the hoop with hand two, straigten up and go to overhead circles. | ![]() | ![]() |
