Handmade Hoops by Peachysteve
Overhead Lift Out Pass
Taken from Chapter 4 of
"Hooping"
An Instructional DVD by Peachysteve
Once you are comfortable with both lift outs you can try some combinations.
The first one to try starts with the arm two lift and ends with the arm one throw in.
Arm two makes a lift out in the usual way.
Draw out the overhead circle.
Normally you would start the descent at this point. This time you bring hand one up ready to take the hoop. When the space in the hoop is overhead take hold of the hoop. Notice how the hands mirror each other.
After the exchange, arm one makes an overhead circle. There is one overhead circle before the exchange and one after.
Arm one descends from there in the usual way to the throw in. |
